The prisoner death looked like it'd be an ongoing story after that odd scene in the first proper episode with Brian storming into the Samaritans, but then it just got quietly forgotten about. Then again, Brian's first scene in the pilot was him being asked what he'd done since he retired and he replied 'car' but by the next episode he couldn’t drive (can you tell I've just started re-watching the show from the beginning?).I.J.
